At 1:47 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21st Q-21, Q-24, Tanker 24 and Battalion 3 were notified of a vehicle fire on Interstate 95 north bound between the city limits and Bells Road. Q-21 arrived on scene with a car fire and about 1 acre of brush burning. Command quickly requested another tanker be added to the assignment and began fire attack. The fire was marked under control in about an hour and units remained on scene until 4 p.m. The fire was a result of a mechanical problem with the vehicle.
